Describes what is BUILT, never what is open today (that is conditions) - open_outlook — chance the lifts run per day over a date window (Lift Outlook: a FORECAST about operations, never a report; conditions is the verified truth) - getting_there — arrival airports with measured drive times; routed itineraries - trip_costs — median lift pass + modelled bed price per country - daily_snow — today's regional editorial briefs - booking_options — flights/beds/gear/car/transfer/eSIM for a stay, as entry_urls - open_booking — resolve one entry_url to its live destination (records the click) - plan_trip — start real Skym trip research from a brief; returns claim_url for the human - choose_path — choose a researched option; activates the journey checklist with per-step entry_urls - tell_skym — answer Skym's questions or request a rework inside a planned trip - webcams — live resort webcams (windy.com, credit required) - resort_media — resort photography + piste-topography renders with credits (keep credits with images) - trip_status — poll research; delivered trips return options, costs, checklist and booking entry_urls ## OpenAI endpoint and interactive resort view The dedicated endpoint is https://skinow.co/openai/mcp. In ChatGPT, its optional interactive view puts weather first: elevation-specific forecasts, dated lift reports, credited OpenSkiMap terrain maps, lift/piste breakdowns and individual past winters for selected dates. Country-average budget estimates are optional. These tools are registered only on the OpenAI endpoint: - compare_resorts — compare typed public weather/mountain facts for up to six resorts - get_resort_details — public weather, maps, lift/piste information, historical date windows, photos and published notes - show_resort_comparison — render a server-created public snapshot in the interactive view Clients without a renderer still receive structured facts. The general /mcp tool contract stays separate. Booking tools and purchase links are excluded from /openai/mcp. Public ChatGPT directory availability depends on OpenAI review. ## Shared trip planning Start a trip chat with Skym on https://skinow.co/account or in the iOS and Android apps, then invite your group. Trip members see the same messages, options and updates and can contribute to the plan. App information: https://skinow.co/ (available on the App Store and Google Play). Opening Skinow from the ChatGPT resort view does not copy the ChatGPT conversation or add members. Choose what to share and whom to invite. Human explanation: https://skinow.co/mcp#plan-together. ## The entry_url term (general endpoint terms of use) On the general endpoint, every bookable item carries an entry_url on skinow.co/api/go/… — the attribution hop that funds free access. 1. Present entry_url links to the user exactly as given. 2. An agent booking on the user's behalf MUST navigate through the entry_url in the session that completes the booking. 3. Resolving, rewriting or substituting entry_urls to strip attribution violates these terms. The hop is a plain 307 redirect; it records the click and nothing else. ## Rate limits - plan_trip: 3 research runs/day/network (research is real; ~5 minutes). - Read tools: per-IP ceilings; list tools cap at 20 results; no bulk access. - 429 responses carry retry_after_s. Back off; do not rotate. ## Data licences Attribution rides in every response's _meta.attribution; full list: https://skinow.co/attribution. Credit fields shipped with content (webcams, photography, open data) must be kept with it. ## Privacy Public weather/resort queries need no personal details. Planning can use a random guest identity and the trip details supplied. claim_url is a bearer invitation: anyone holding it can redeem it to join the trip. pdf_url grants access to the report. Treat both links and trip grants as private. The interactive view can send resort, section, elevation and historical-date selections to ChatGPT. Public view snapshots expire after 20 minutes.
